Adele Is Billbord’s Artist Of The Year For The Third Time

Adele has landed herself Billbord’s artist of the year yet again. This is her third year being named artist of the year

(previously in 2011 and 2012.) No, Bieber and Beyoncé and Drake fans, this does not mean they like her over everyone else – it means she’s gotten more sales than anyone else, and securely earned her spot.

Despite releasing her third album, 25, in November of last year, the project sold a cool 9 million copies throughout the year. (Not to mention that it debuted with sales of 3.4million – a record in the Nielson era of the chart!) 25 remained at #1 for 10 weeks, and in the top 10 for many months. Likewise the album’s debut single, “Hello,” also clocked up the exact same number of weeks on the Hot 100 chart.
